Yomitan Audio Source for All Languages¶
Learning Japanese? Check out the Ultimate Yomitan Audio Source which has custom functionality tailored for Japanese. Japanese learners may still benefit from this in the form of live Forvo API access and higher fidelity TTS.
Audio sources for languages other than Japanese have always been limited in terms of coverage, quality and availability. The Yomitan Audio Source for All Languages is a new audio source that solves this once and for all through two mechanisms:
1. Live Forvo API Access¶
Using the official Forvo API, we can get the best available human pronunciations for any word in any language. This ensures ever-expanding coverage for all languages provided by Forvo:
2. High Fidelity TTS¶
Using AWS Polly, ElevenLabs, and OpenAI TTS, we can generate high-fidelity audio for any word in any language. This ensures that even if a word is not available on Forvo, you can still get a high-quality pronunciation. See below for samples.

You have two options. Either deploy the open source audio source yourself and provide your own API keys, or use the hosted version for a $2 monthly subscription (usage limits apply).

- Audio Enjoyer: $1/month - Access to the Yomitan Audio Source for Japanese only.
- Audio Enjoyer [All Languages]: $2/month - Access to the Yomitan Audio Source for all languages with Forvo API (described here).
